WOOLSTON: Employer seeks a Rest Home Caregiver Daily tasks include: Providing all necessary assistance to assigned residents to meet their needs in relation to hygiene, nutrition, mobility and social interaction. Ensuring the residents’ environment is maintained to a safe and sanitary standard. Participate in the implementation of the facilities policies, procedures, standards and quality improvement activities. Good communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team. Empathy with those you are working with. Respect for the elderly as a group and as individuals. This can be a physically demanding role; you will need to be physically fit for practical duties. Work timings: Monday- Sunday rostered across 24/7 shifts.

ACE, ACE Dementia, National Certificate or NZQA equivalent, CareerForce level 3, First Aid Certificate. Minimum 2 years’ experience including Dementia Care. Medication competent and able to use 1Chart. Pre-employment police checks apply. Convictions considered on a case by case basis.
