At Heritage Lifecare, we provide residential aged care services and facilities throughout New Zealand to over 2,500 people. Respecting individuals, both residents and staff, is the foundation stone on which Heritage Lifecare has been built. Heritage Lifecare (GHG) Ltd is responsible for the performance of 7 Care homes in Christchurch, with 346 beds.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Clinical Services Manager and our 7 Care Homes Managers within the Christchurch region. Although largely autonomous, the role forms a significant part of the Heritage Lifecare (GHG) division. The Quality Assurance Manager will promote, implement, and monitor a quality programme that ensures the best care delivery for our residents. Whilst receiving excellent audit results in 2020, we are not resting on our laurels, and will continue to strive to maintain or enhance on our care delivery. Regular reviews and audits will be undertaken to ensure compliance and current best practice throughout our Christchurch facilities. You will support the Facility Managers to ensure any risk areas and corrective actions are appropriately addressed and encourage further continuous improvement. Hand in hand with the Quality aspects of our business, you will also champion and assist Facility Managers with Health and Safety.
This role is a 3 day or 24 hour per week role. There is some flexibility around the hours or days to suit the successful candidate.
You will be an experienced and passionate Quality Assurance person to help drive sustainable, high quality care in our homes. You must have a sound understanding of Health and Disability Services Standards NZS 8134:2008.
You will need to:
- Lead by example – by providing sound and objective feedback and guidance
- Have had previous experience in an Aged Care environment
- effectively use trend and data analysis tools to make a difference
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple responsibilities and goals
- US 8086 Quality Auditing would be a distinct advantage.
- Have a sound knowledge of the Health & Safety at work Act 2015.
